This article is very much a work in progress. I have made every effort to keep the information in it as accurate as possible, but the sources for Mata Hari's life are conflicting. I have read the best authorities in English, but the latest books about her are in French, and I hope to update the article as soon as I have consulted them.

The image gallery may not be strictly neccessary, but Mata Hari was an excellent camera subject, and her appearance was very important to her and a primary element in her appeal. I have included what I regard as the best and most characteristic images of Mata Hari in her prime, as well as some images that are not widely available elsewhere.

I welcome discussion, questions, and suggestions, from ROD fans as well as from students of Mata Hari and historians of espionage, World War I, and the Belle Epoque.

  • This article is just... BOSS. Ty 10:22, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
  • But it does not have much to do with the actual anime :/
